This website is run by The Dental Clinic for its dental practices. The practices’ addresses and contact details are on our Contact page. If you have any question about how your information is handled, you can contact us using an enquiry form on this website, by email at reception@tdc.dentist or by phone on 01243 533011.

When you send an enquiry through one of the forms on this website we collect the details you give us — your name, phone number and email address, the treatment or subject you are asking about, and anything you write in the comments. We use them to reply to your enquiry and, if you would like one, to arrange an appointment.

When a dental professional refers a patient to us through the referral form, we collect the referrer’s name, practice, contact details and, if given, GDC number, together with the patient’s name, contact details, address and the treatment required. The referring clinician gives us those details with the patient’s knowledge so that we can contact the patient about the referral.

To protect the forms from misuse, the website also keeps a short-lived, anonymised record of the connection a form was sent from. We do not use this website to collect clinical or medical records: those are held by the practice under its own patient privacy notice, which you are given when you register.

Enquiries and referrals are stored in this website’s own database, where only members of the practice team who log in to the website can see them, and a copy is sent by email to the practice’s enquiry address so the team can respond. No separate form or marketing service receives them.

We handle your enquiry because you have asked us to contact you (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract). We handle a referral because the referring clinician and the patient have asked us to consider providing care. Where this website shows content from other companies that may set cookies, we rely on your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie settings window and can change at any time.

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can follow up if you asked us to. If you become a patient, the information you gave us joins your patient record and is kept under the practice’s retention rules. The practice can delete an enquiry from the website at any time, and you can ask us to.

This website does not currently run any analytics or advertising measurement. The cookie settings window has categories for them so that, if such a tool is ever added, nothing from it runs before you have allowed it. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is in use.

With your permission this website shows content from other companies: maps of our practices from Google Maps, our Google reviews through a widget supplied by Elfsight, and video played from YouTube or Vimeo. When that content loads, the company providing it receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. None of it loads unless you allow external content in the cookie settings window, and you can withdraw that permission at any time from our Cookie Policy page.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. You can also object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. To do any of these, contact us using an enquiry form on this website, by email at reception@tdc.dentist or by phone on 01243 533011. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If the way this website handles information changes — for example if a new tool is added — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
